The brand name I selected for my art has a double meaning.  I paint what I love with all the feeling in my heart.  The subjects range from nature’s beauty to humans interacting with nature.  The other meaning refers to the technique I use when painting.

I paint on

canvas with acrylic paints using a technique called “impasto”.  This refers to the use of very thick paint applied with paint brushes as well as various sizes and types of palette knives and spatulas providing a tactile surface that allows the subject to actually rise off the canvas of the painting.  This technique was used by Vincent Van Gogh.  Think of his “Starry Night”.  The swirling stars, the moon glow, and the haunting shadow of the village all seem to reach out to the viewer.  That is the magic of impasto.
